Blocky Land Builder

A fast, beginner friendly editor for building SMB2 inspired levels from scratch. The in‑game editor supports full controller input, as well as keyboard and mouse, so you can create comfortably however you like.

Your campaigns are saved as shareable JSON files, making it easy to distribute your creations or collaborate with others. Alpha Quest is a short, built‑in campaign that you can fully edit and remix using the in‑game tools.

This is an early alpha, new tools, tiles, and features will continue to roll out over time. Campaign files are saved at
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Blocky Land Builder\Campaigns

Uses Block Land assets by VEXED

Editor Controls
D-pad, arrow keys or left mouse click to change items/tiles
Left joystick or mouse to move cursor
Right joystick or WASD keys to pan camera
Hold A button or left mouse click drag to lay tiles
Hold B button or right mouse click drag to delete tiles (only deletes selected tile)
R1/L1 buttons or 1/2 keys to change tabs
Start button or Enter to preview level
B button or esc key to exit preview

A button or A key to jump
X button or S key to pick up/throw item (must be on top of)
Down + Jump for high jump
Up to enter or unlock doors
Start button or esc key to pause game
